This blog is an experiment. It’s about freedom within inescapably chosen confines.

It’s an exploration of the unconventional, as one small cell, who tells it in character, from places where creative liberty reigns queen.

But a monster?  A free-spirited dangerously passionate and daringly dedicated mother has three children, early in life, without proper planning, with two very different men. Observant of clashes between culture and nature and the psychological, social, and financial impact on her freedom, she hazardously navigates her way through this wild parenthood landscape while redefining the successful family.

Monster mom is quiet, guilty, shamefully curious and secretly envied. She is the would-be-perfect mother if placed in another circumstance or time. Her imperfections are wild as snarled hair; her face hides nothing. She is fortunate by surprise, yet not without enemy.  She writes about the embarrassingly selfish battle of a single mom artist who lives for love, chooses the best, and dancing between having everything and nothing.

The Myths of Mother: The institution of motherhood, by nature, is placed with a responsibility for the entirety of civilization – extending family to include the tribe and then the species. The raw reproductive definition is not cultural or genetic outside of a confused excuse. At first, the guilt was inescapable. Monster Mom toys with that guilt, it’s source, and its dissolution.
